My research concerns opportunistic sensing techniques capable to provide hydrological data from unintended sensors such as commercial microwave links. I am mostly focused on rainfall monitoring at space-time scale required for urban stormwater modelling, i.e. with (sub)minute/kilometer resolution, however my research concerns also e.g. flow monitoring from pumping station data. I have been investigating rainfall estimation with commercial microwave links. Recently, I am focusing also on other non-traditional rainfall sensors with special interest in quantification and elimination of their random and systematic errors under operational conditions.
