Michael Di Matteo
Michael is a Senior Environmental Engineer with Water Technology. He is passionate about delivering multiple liveability benefits to Australian communities through integrated water management. He is the Winner of the Stormwater South Australia Young Professional Award 2020.
Michael is a member of Engineers Australia. He is Chartered in Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering.
Michael received a doctorate in multi-criteria optimisation for planning and design of stormwater systems from the University of Adelaide in 2016 and completed a Bachelor of Laws in 2014. He has demonstrated innovation and leadership in applying machine learning techniques to water resources planning, water quality and harvesting assessment, real-time control, and drainage network design. As an Adjunct Lecturer with the University of Adelaide, Michael remains an active industry advisor and student mentor for smart water research.
