Alejandro Figueroa
Dr. Alejandro Figueroa is a Post-Doctoral Scientist at Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology (Eawag) in the Department of Urban Water Management. With his background in numerical and physical modelling and development of Computational Fluid Dynamics solvers, his research focuses on predicting how negative effects of heat waves and urban heat islands (UHI) can be eased with the introduction of a clever management of stormwater resources. He received his Ph.D. in 2019 in Physics (Engineering Physics) at George Mason University (Fairfax, Virginia, USA) and his B.S. in Mechanical Aeronautical Engineering in 2014 from Instituto Universitario Aeronautico (Argentina).
