Jiaying Li
Dr Jiaying Li is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Queensland Alliance for Environmental Health Sciences (QAEHS), the University of Queensland. She obtained her Ph.D. in 2020 at Advanced Water Management Centre (AWMC), UQ, which focused on wastewater-based epidemiology to understand and model the transport and degradation of illicit drug and pharmaceutical biomarkers in urban sewer systems. She is now working for the Queensland’s wastewater surveillance program for COVID-19. Her research interests include source control of emerging biochemical pollutants in water and wastewater systems, understanding and modelling the fate of contaminants and photogenic viruses in sewer systems, and their implications on environmental and human health.
